Zapier

How it works:Thousands of apps can start the timer, such as an event in your calendar, without any code.

Zapier connects time tracking in both directions: events from here trigger a Zap (webhook trigger), and a Zap starts or stops your timer through the API. Both need "Webhooks by Zapier", which comes with the paid Zapier plans.

Receive events (for example every new time entry as a row in Google Sheets):

  1. Create a Zap in Zapier with the trigger "Webhooks by Zapier", event "Catch Hook", and copy the address shown.
  2. Add this address under Settings, Webhooks as a new endpoint and choose the events, such as time_entry.created.
  3. Track an entry to try it and click "Test trigger" in Zapier. The fields are under data.object.

Control the timer from a Zap:

  1. Under Settings, API and devices, add a device (timer only) or a token with the permission "Trigger".
  2. Add the action "Webhooks by Zapier", event "Custom Request", to the Zap and enter the values below.
Example (text)
Method:  POST
URL:     https://api.horaka.com/v1/track/start
Data:    {"project": "PROJECT"}
Headers: Authorization | Bearer YOUR_TOKEN
         Content-Type  | application/json

Every delivery to Zapier carries the header X-Horaka-Signature. Zapier does not check it; to check it, add a "Code by Zapier" step following the example in the API documentation.
